Sentence: Dover District Court Judge Stephen Morrison gave her a 30-day suspended jail sentence and a $1,000 in fines, which were suspended upon good behavior.

Dover police Sgt. William Malsbury said Yusko must also refrain from owning pets for a year. The court is still weighing the matter of Yusko's restitution for veterinary care of the animals. Malsbury said the prosecution requested $3,930.
