Sentence: Robert Cabassa was sentenced to nine months behind bars. In addition to the nine-month sentence, Justice John Byrne ordered Cabassa to serve a concurrent term of five months for violating the terms of his parole from a previous forgery conviction. He also was barred from owning a pet for five years.
