Dog neglected, tethered, collar grown into neck New Philadelphia, OH (US)Incident Date: Thursday, Apr 27, 2006 County: Tuscarawas
Disposition: Alleged
Alleged: Julie Brinkman
Julie Brinkman, 37, of 1924 Nageley Rd., New Philadelphia, is scheduled to appear June 20 in New Philadelphia Municipal Court to face a charge of animal cruelty.
According to Karen Slough, Tuscarawas County dog warden, Brinkman was cited Saturday, May 27, after officials at the end of April removed a dog that was tied near a small shelter at the edge of her property without adequate food and water. Slough said the dog's leash was wrapped around the pole it was attached to and that the collar had grown into the dog's neck.
Slough said the year-old shepherd husky mix named Sid is doing well and will remain in the Tuscarawas County Dog Pound at New Philadelphia until the case is resolved. References |
