The same suspect from a December standoff in South Omaha held police off early on the morning of April 25. Police say they were called to a domestic disturbance before 3am at a house on the 4100 block of South 36th Avenue.

A man and woman were fighting with each other and the woman was assaulted. The woman was able to leave the house with minor injuries.

The suspect, Dale Perfect, threw a knife at the officers and barricaded himself in the house for five and half hours.

Perfect was booked for Misdemeanor Assault, Animal Cruelty, and Felony Destruction of Property.

The dog was taken into custody at the Nebraska Humane Society where their vets are examining it.
