The Red Bluff Police Department responded to an animal cruelty charge that allegedly took place at Home Depot on March 8. The caller told police he saw a man hit his dog with a piece of wood, a police report said. The man denied hitting the dog, and no injuries were observed, the RBPD said. The incident has been referred to the district attorney's office for review.
