Animal cruelty charges could be handed down against a Phoenix woman after dozens of animals are found in her filthy apartment. Police said that almost two dozen animals were found near 16th Street and Thomas.

They were discovered after the woman was evicted from her apartment. Animal Control says the 16 cats, one dog, three snakes and two iguanas were kept in horrible conditions. Some were already dead while others were sick, hungry, and thirsty.
