A cat will lose its eye after being shot at in Waipukurau on January 30, 2006. Waipukurau police Sergeant Denis Tatere said police had arrested a 20-year-old last night and charged him with unlawfully discharging a firearm and a charge of cruelty to animals. Mr Tatere said the rifle had been recovered.
