On April 15, 2004, deputies arrived at a vacant house on a burglary call and detained three suspects. The deputies also observed two pit bulls to be injured and a large amount of blood on the new carpet and walls of the house. Animal Control removed the dogs and the three juveniles were arrested and charged with burglary, animal fighting and criminal mischief. Damage in the house was estimated at $3,000.00. All three suspects were taken to the Juvenile Assessment Center.
