Wayne Adger, 45, was arrested on charges of 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault and animal cruelty. Allegedly, the pick-ax was swung at the dog, Sweetie Poo, a 2-yr-old, 10-lb white toy poodle, hitting her in the side and throwing her up in the air killing her. When officers arrived, the accused had blood on his pants and was still holding the pickax.
