Damian Simms, 24, of 8th Avenue North has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty. On Nov 24, 2001 at about 6:30 p.m. on 1029 18th Avenue North Simms allegedly kicked a 4-month old kitten in the stomach causing it to bleed from its mouth and ears.

The kitten will be euthanized.

Simms is being held at the Pinellas County Jail with a bail set at $5,000.
