Suffolk police are investigating a case of animal cruelty in which a miniature schnauzer was found impaled on a piece of rebar in the 900 block of Five Mile Road last Wednesday, Feb 9, 2005. A neighbor found the dog and told the owners - who filed a police report Saturday, Feb 12.

Police are investigating the case as felony animal abuse.
