The Humane Society of the United States is offering a $2,500 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for burning a cat found on the evening of November 29, 2004 in the 2700 block of La Crescenta Drive in Cameron Park. If you have any information about this animal crime, please call El Dorado County Animal Control at (530) 621-5795.

El Dorado County Animal Control is investigating a citizen complaint of a kitten that had been burned. The citizen aided the kitten by transporting him to the nearest veterinarian for emergency treatment. The kitten a black 10 month old male Domestic Shorthair was treated for his injuries and is currently being cared for by El Dorado County Animal Control at their shelter. The shelter staff has named him �Phoenix�. He is expected to survive his ordeal but, still has a long hard road ahead of him.
