Two teenagers have been charged with animal cruelty after police found injured dogs and dogfighting equipment in their house.
Police searched the house of 18-year-olds Dustin Kleiner and Christie Clore and found dogfighting equipment and five pit bulls, including two puppies. One of the dogs had been injured.
The two suspects were arraigned Thursday and charged with three counts of animal cruelty: maintaining a place for animal fighting and possessing equipment to allow animals to fight, both felonies, and animal cruelty, a misdemeanor.
The officers found "dogs sitting and standing in their own feces, stated Warren police Sgt. Louis Galasso.
Inside the garage, police found dogfighting equipment.
Clore also was charged with possession of marijuana.
