Angel Torres was charged with animal cruelty after police and fire rescue officers discovered 11 dogs in the back of a box truck parked between 4 and 5 p.m. June 2, 2004.

According to police, Angel Torres, 50, of Miami Beach admitted owning the dogs, whose coats were wet due to extreme heat.
