A Rumney woman found guilty of animal neglect more than seven years ago is now under indictment for cruelty and neglect to three cows and two dogs.
The Grafton County Grand Jury indicted Diana Phair, 43, of 365 Depot Street in Rumney on five counts of animal cruelty.
Cruelty to animals is normally a Class A misdemeanor, but because of her 1996 conviction for cruelty by neglect of an Arabian horse, the charges against her were elevated to Class A felonies.
Phair and 48-year-old William Muzzy, whose home is listed at the same address, were both indicted for depriving a Hereford heifer, a Hereford bull and a Jersey bull in their possession of food, water and medical care.
They were also indicted Friday for similar neglect of a German shepherd-mix dog named "Sarge" and another German shepherd-mix dog named "Cheyenne."
Muzzy faces five misdemeanor cruelty counts. Neighborhood MapFor more information about the Interactive Animal Cruelty Maps, see the map notes.
