A cat was stolen from it's cage during a cat show held at Santa Anita racetrack in Arcadia, CA on Sunday, December 14, 2003 at approximately 4:00pm PST. The cat, named Ophelia, is a brown classic tabby intact Maine Coon female, 8 months of age (DOB: 4/12/03), that weighs approximately 8 pounds.

This is a valuable pedigreed cat, and our first concern is recovering her. Although not microchipped, we are able positively identify this cat via DNA parentage testing. There is a substantial reward for information leading to her safe return, and the owners are also willing to reimburse veterinary and/or other expenses someone out there might incur while helping them recover the cat.

A safe "No Questions Asked" place to drop the cat can be arranged, in the event that the thief will accept the reward in exchange for her safe return. The primary interest is not in prosecution, but in the safe return of the cat.
