Alleged: Frank Scirpo

Lucia Zito was dogsitting a pitbull/bulldog mix by the name of Bandit when she let him out into her backyard for a few minutes while she was making dinner for her kids.

She hear 3 gun shots and went out to see what happened.  Granby CT,  Police Officer Frank Scirpo shot and killed Bandit.  The officer claimed that Bandit had been aggressive towards him.

A passing motorist, who witnessed the shooting asked why did you shoot the dog.  When Zito went to talk to the witness the police officer separated them and escorted the motorist from the scene.

Bandit was a friendly dog that only barked at strangers, but never harmed anyone.  The Grandby police have shot other friendly pitbulls.  Chief of Polce David Watkins has yet to put Scirpo on notice.
