Starved, dead horse found in pasture Westville, NY (US)Incident Date: Wednesday, Dec 8, 2010 County: Franklin
Charges: Misdemeanor Disposition: Alleged
Alleged: Alison D. Hill
A local woman is facing cruelty allegations after an anonymous call led police to her starved, dead horse.
Malone-based State Police charged Alison D. Hill of Westville with animal cruelty Wednesday morning after her horse was discovered dead in a pasture on Route 20.
Authorities said the horse appeared to have been deprived of food and water while it was left out in inclement weather.
Hill, 39, was charged with the misdemeanor for allegedly failing to properly care for the animal.
Though the animal was older, police believe the apparent malnourishment contributed to its death.
Hill was issued an appearance ticket for Westville Town Court on Dec. 14 to face the allegations. References |
