Puppy mill - dozens of manlnourished dogs seized
Harrah, OK (US)

Incident Date: Tuesday, Jul 27, 2010
County: Oklahoma

Disposition: Alleged

Alleged: Tina Rannals

An Oklahoma County woman is facing animal cruelty and neglect charges after dozens of animals were discovered on her property, living in filthy conditions and malnourished without drinking water.

It's happening in Harrah, located about 25 miles east of Oklahoma City. KFOR-TV reports police say a concerned neighbor called them Tuesday to report a suspected "puppy mill". When officers arrived, they discovered dozens of dogs, sixteen birds, a horse and a llama.

The dogs were tick-infested, malnourished and had no fresh drinking water and some of the animals couldn't even be seen with the naked eye because their kennels were so overgrown with weeds.

Tina Rannels is the property owner. She was arrested on multiple animal cruelty complaints. She says things got out of control because she was running low on money.
