Law enforcement officials and animal rights groups still are still searching for whoever abandoned 17 8-week-old kittens at the Tangerine Landfill July 7. Two kittens died of heat exposure and seven more were later euthanized.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is offering as much as $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone found to be responsible.
