On 3-17-03 Palm Springs Police responded to Ms. Delaluz's residence and arrested her for felony animal abuse.  After Ms. Delaluz beat her 3 month old puppy, for chewing on a plastic house plant.  Ms. Delaluz struck the puppy hard enough to cause the puppy's eye to become disengage from its' eye socket.

INVESTIGATING OFFICER Palm Springs Police Officer B. Coon 

Delaluz  was convicted on 6/02/03 and sentenced to 15 days in county jail, restitution, and she was required to forfeit the dog.
 
As of the conviction the puppy has been placed in a new home and is reported to be doing very well.
