The Ross County Sheriff's Office and dog warden are investigating a complaint of animal neglect at 5709 Liberty Hill Road.

No charges have been filed, but according to a sheriff's report, food and water were lacking for two outside dogs and their pens were full of feces. One dog, a puppy, was found dead and the other appeared malnourished, according to the report.
