Dogs and puppies found dehydrated and malnourished Trenton, OH (US)Incident Date: Thursday, Jul 30, 2009 County: Butler
Disposition: Alleged
Alleged: Timothy Field
A Trenton man is facing animal abuse charges after underfed dogs allegedly were found on his property.
Timothy Field of Pom Court was charged Thursday, July 30, with two counts of animal cruelty, two counts of failure to comply for not licensing the dogs and four counts of a dog running at large, said Julie Homes, the dog warden for the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
Two adult dogs and four puppies, all basset hounds, were found “malnourished and dehydrated” on the property, Holmes said.
The dogs were turned over to the Animal Friends Humane Society just outside Trenton. Its executive director, Meg Stephenson said the dogs were sent to a basset hound rescue, where they would be treated and rehabilitated and eventually placed in adoptive homes.
Holmes said Field would face charges in Middletown Municipal Court in August. References |
