A Hudson Falls woman was arrested for animal cruelty in connection with a severely malnourished and deceased cat that was discovered in front of her apartment earlier this month, police said today.

Gina N. Granger, 28, of John Street, was charged with animal cruelty, a misdemeanor, according to the Hudson Falls Police Department.

Police said Granger stopped feeding the cat and failed to provide medical attention to the animal, which had a serious but treatable infection.

Granger was issued an appearance ticket and is due back in Hudson Falls Court late next week.
