Witnesses were appalled to see a cat killed when it was thrown from a speeding car onto a road in Northamptonshire
Oficers from both the RSPCA and the police have appealed for help to catch the "despicable" people who killed the cat.
The animal was thrown to its death from a silver Renault Clio on the A508, south of Northampton, on Thursday evening. It died within minutes from massive injuries.
Wootton resident Mara Cimetta, who saw the incident, said she was shocked by the cruelty of the people in the car.
She said: "I was turning out of the petrol station and saw something come out of the window. It took me a split second to see what it was but when I saw it was a cat I was really shocked.
"I'm still traumatised by seeing it. I went straight up to comfort it and see if there was anything I could do, but there wasn't."
The car was travelling north along the A508, towards the A45, at 6.15pm on Thursday and was believed to be carrying three young men. References |
