Cat swung by limbs Rocky Hill, CT (US)Incident Date: Wednesday, Sep 19, 2007 County: Hartford
Disposition: Alleged
Alleged: Sebastiano Spada
A man accused of seriously injuring a Rocky Hill family's cat last September, is due back in Superior Court in New Britain Friday.
Sebastiano Spada, 21, of Cromwell is charged with cruelty to an animal.
According to court records, the male cat named Milo required more than $2,000 in medical care. Spada was arrested after neighbors of Milo's owners told police they heard "loud, blood-curdling" yowls from a cat and spotted Spada swinging the screaming cat by its limbs. Spada, a friend of Milo's owners, then went into the house with the creature and neighbors told police they heard more screams from the cat, court records state.
Spada told investigators that he would "roughhouse" with the cat but did not intend to injure it, according to court records. References |
