Police are looking for information leading to the arrest of the person who strangled a cat in February and left it at a Sevierville church. The tortured cat had been partially skinned and found hanging on the door of Second Baptist Church on Feb. 20.

Several people, including some juveniles have been questioned, said Bob Stahlke, public information officer for the city of Sevierville. No one has been charged.

"For the time being, we don't think there's any type of organized anti-religious group behind this incident," he said.

Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to contact Sevierville Police Detective Sam Hinson at 865-453-5507.
