John Howze, center, and his son, left, place rescued quail in a clean cage with food at their home in Walker on Friday. Howze, a volunteer with the Livingston Humane Society, has taken in some of the neglected chickens, quail, rabbits, ducks, peacocks and Chihuahuas removed from another Walker residence Thursday.
