Convicted: Killing and selling endangered animals for meat

Sentence: Ramsey plead guilty to shooting one of the tigers.

He became a government witness and helped federal fish and wildlife agents put an end to the slaughter ring. As a result of becoming a witness he was placed on probation for 4 years, fined $2000 and ordered to perform 300 hours of community service.

Ramsey, formerly of Oak Forest, Il is now living in Mason, Wisconsin.

Notes:
In Wisconsin - formerly of Oak Forest, Ill., a taxidermist who assisted Kapp in purchasing, killing, skinning, and transporting endangered tigers and leopards, and transporting and selling their hides and meat. He was charged with seven counts of violating wildlife protection statutes.
