A 72-year-old Rochester woman has been arrested after Humane Society investigators took more than five dead cats from her home. Joan Jaindl, of Rochester is charged with animal cruelty.

A total of ten cats were removed from 134 Ontario Street on June 20 morning following a six month investigation. When investigators arrived at the home, they learned the sanitation conditions were so bad, they had to take breaks from wading through feces to find the living cats.
