The Sacramento County Animal Shelter is dealing a with a series of animal neglect cases that are overwhelming the facility. Five dogs, three parrots, two rabbits, five fish, one fish and 32 turtles were seized from a location where they were being neglected.

There is not enough room for all the animals, so some are being held in offices.

Shelter officials said they will ask the district attorney's office to prosecute those responsible for the neglect and abuse.
