Maria Stathacos of Pittstown, NY, was convicted of animal cruelty in November of 1996 after she was found to be operating a filthy, overcrowded puppy mill. After conviction, she was told that she could no longer have dogs. At this time, Maria Stathacos has numerous farm animals on her property living in the same deplorable conditions as the dogs were.
