A New Haven man is under arrest for allegedly beating a six month old puppy.  Police say he beat his dog with a piece of wood and then threw it against the wall.  Oliver was mad at the dog for chewing an electrical cord.

The puppy has two broken legs and a stomach infection.  A local veterinarian is optimistic about the dogs future.
