On March 15, 2005, Jesus Manuel Alvarez, 40, of 14695 Buffalo Bill, El Paso, allegedly hung a dog on a beam of a carport of the residence that he shares with Emma B. Carmona. Ms. Carmona, in a police report, stated that Alvarez, after hanging the dog, told her "This is not the first time I hung a dog, and not the last. The next time I do this, it might not be a dog".

Ms. Carmona stated that she took this as a threat against her and her children. Ms. Carmona added that their family has a history of violence and that she is in fear of her life.

Jesus Manuel Alvarez was arrested and charged with one count of terroristic threats, one count of cruelty to animals.

Alvarez will be arraigned November 10, 2005 on the two felony charges.
