A Jordan resident was arrested  by the Auburn Police Department for killing a seagull with a BB gun, police said.

James A. Bizallion, 21, of 9757 Bontabridge Road, Jordan, was charged with two violations of the city's municipal code, injuring birds and discharging an airgun.

A witness observed a group of teenagers in the Grant Avenue Burger King parking lot around 2:30 p.m. Sept. 16, heard a popping nose and saw a seagull collapse, police said.

The witness took down the teenagers' tan Ford's license plate. When police contacted the owner, the owner of the Ford reported her daughter and some of her friends had been driving the car.

When the teenagers came to the police station on Sept. 17, Bizallion admitted he shot the seagull, police said.

The seagull was found dead at the parking lot.
