Jason S. Kanalley, 25, has been charged with one count of animal cruelty. Kanalley has been accused of intentionally injuring the 10-week old puppy causing its death.

On Jan 18 his ex-girlfriend reported the dog's death to the police. She said she found the puppy badly injured after she left it in Kanalley's care for a short period of time.

Kanalley lives on Autumnview Street. State police say he is scheduled to face the charge on Tuesday, 7:00 p.m. in Town Court.
