A one-year old Yorkshire terrier's body was found by its owners floating in a pool on their property at 455 Emerson Street. The Humane Society at Lollypop Farm is investigating the strangling.

The owners reported their dog missing on Sept 6. They found the dog's body on Sept 10 in a covered wading pool in their backyard.

Ron Storm, chief investigator for the Humane Society said, "They saw a lump in the (covered) pool. It was a pretty gruesome sight."

Andy Newmark, Humane Society chief veterinarian determined the dog was strangled before it was put in the pool.
