The SPCA is investigating a disturbing case of animal cruelty in Buffalo. Officers found a pit-bull that had starved to death, in a upper apartment, in an Ashley Street home.
The apartment was littered with trash and animal waste. SPCA Special Agent Michael Armatys says there is no reason to let an animal starve to death.
"They can bring the animal in to the SPCA They can call us," says Armatys. "We can pick the animal up. They can take it to the city Animal Shelter. There are other avenues to go. There is no reason for this. It is just unjustified."
SPCA officials are now trying to find the last tenant to live in that apartment. Neighborhood MapFor more information about the Interactive Animal Cruelty Maps, see the map notes.
