A Brighton man has been charged with aggravated animal cruelty in connection with the death of a cat. Animal cruelty investigators say Daniel Fitch killed his mother's cat with an axe handle. Fitch was arrested last Friday. The incident happened at the Fitch's home on West Henrietta Road on September 14th. If found guilty, he faces up to two years in jail and or a $5,000.00 fine.
