more information on voting
When you vote, you are voting on whether or not the punishment fit the crime, NOT on the severity of the case itself. If you feel the sentence was very weak, you would vote 1 star. If you feel the sentence was very strong, you would vote 5 stars.
Please vote honestly and realistically. These ratings will be used a a tool for many future programs, including a "Peoples Choice" of best and worst sentencing, DA and judge "report cards", and more. Try to resist the temptation to vote 1 star on every case, even if you feel that 100 years in prison isnt enough.

Defendant/Suspect: Arturo Federico
Case Updates: 1 update(s) available
A 25-year-old Bellevue man has been charged with first-degree animal cruelty for killing his girlfriend's 6-week-old kitten while in an alleged drunken rage.
Arturo Federico was also charged with fourth-degree assault for pushing his 20-year-old girlfriend around, choking her and then locking her out of the apartment they shared.
He was arrested in the early morning on Aug 10.
His girlfriend told police that Federico previously had threatened to kill the kitten. The kitten had suffered injuries before. The girlfriend said Federico claimed that he'd accidentally opened a door on the kitten, and in another instance, it had jumped into an oven.
Case UpdatesA King County Superior Court judge sentenced a 25-year-old Bellevue man to six months in jail after he pleaded guilty earlier this month to assaulting his girlfriend and killing her 6-week-old kitten.
Arturo "Art" Federico was charged with fourth-degree assault domestic violence and first-degree animal cruelty in August. Charging papers say his girlfriend at the time saw him repeatedly throw her kitten down on the bed while in a drunken rage. Twenty minutes later, Federico began pushing and choking his 20-year-old girlfriend before locking her out of the apartment they shared, the papers say. The girlfriend later found her cat dead.
On Friday, a judge ordered Federico to complete domestic-violence batterers' treatment and alcohol- and substance-abuse treatment in addition to serving his sentence, said King County prosecutors' spokesman Dan Donohoe. Federico will spend two years on probation after his release and pay a $1,000 fine, Donohoe said.
