Two former Binghamton, NY firefighters have pleaded guilty to charges in connection with the killing of four kittens in a fire station. Twenty-eight-year-old Daniel Williams and 32-year-old William Terrell had been indicted on animal cruelty charges in the case.

The men were accused of using physical pressure and a hammer to kill the kittens on a Sunday afternoon June 2002.

Authorities say Terrell has pleaded guilty to torturing and injuring animals. Williams pleaded guilty to disorderly conduct.

Both men were sentenced to one-year conditional discharges. They also were ordered to pay $200 fines and to perform 100 hours of community service.
