Kittens thrown from vehicles
Sioux Falls, SD (US)

Incident Date: Wednesday, Jun 30, 2004
County: Minnehaha

Disposition: Open

Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

The Sioux Falls Humane Society is looking for information about a kitten thrown from a moving vehicle over the weekend. This is the third such case in recent weeks.

The first one was on the Minnesota-South Dakota border along Interstate 90. The second kitten was found in Rural Minnehaha County with a crushed skull. On Saturday, a witness saw someone throw a kitten from a truck near 69th and Louise in Sioux Falls.

Darcy Adams, a Humane Society representative, says "There's really no excuse. People can bring stray animals to the shelter. They can bring unwanted pets to the humane society. We are open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 AM To 5:30 PM. And we also have night receiving, so there's really no excuse."

If you have any information about any of these abuse cases, please contact the Humane Society at 605-338-4441.
