Alleged: Robert Jacob Brooks

A Canandaigua man has been charged after an Ontario County Humane Society investigation.

Robert Jacob Brooks, 29, of 2761 County Road 10, was charged May 25 with cruelty to animals, according to Ontario County sheriff's deputies.

Brooks allegedly had not been feeding his two dogs enough food to maintain a healthy body weight, deputies said.

Brooks is scheduled to appear in Hopewell Town Court at a later date.
