An individual with initials ECP, a resident of San Rafael (Segovia), has been charged with an animal abuse felony after allegedly beating a 3-month-old dog, as a result of the brutal beating he lost an eye and suffered other injuries that had to be assisted in Veterinary Center El Refugio, according to Europa Press reported sources of this group.
The alleged perpetrator must state these facts the next day September 21, as a defendant, at the head of Court No. 5 of Segovia, who has taken charge of proceedings, in which El Refugio is people like private prosecution .

Apparently, according to some sources, the defendant admits having beaten the puppy with a stick, events of April 8, 2010 when the shelter received a call from the Guardia Civil de El Espinar and San Rafael Local Police asking for help rescue a dog that allegedly was the victim of a brutal beating and was seriously injured in the bus station in San Rafael.

Volunteers protectionist organization immediately moved the scene and found a hound puppy, about three months, with serious head injuries and a terrible wound in one eye. Bus, as it has been named, was rushed to The Haven Veterinary Center, where he was stabilized and confirmed their serious injuries, including loss of the right eye, a head injury and trauma to the chest which caused fractures the ribs and lung damage.

Un individuo con iniciales E.C.P, vecino de San Rafael (Segovia), ha sido imputado por un delito de maltrato animal tras, presuntamente, apalear a un perro de tan sólo tres meses, que a consecuencia de la brutal paliza perdió un ojo y sufrió otras lesiones de las que tuvo que ser asistido en el Centro Veterinario El Refugio, según informaron a Europa Press fuentes de este colectivo.
El presunto responsable deberá declarar por estos hechos el próximo día 21 de septiembre, en calidad de imputado, ante la titular del Juzgado número 5 de Segovia, que se ha hecho cargo de las diligencias y en las que El Refugio se ha personado como acusación particular.

Al parecer, según las mismas fuentes, el imputado reconoce haber golpeado al cachorro con un palo, hechos acaecidos el 8 de abril de 2010 cuando El Refugio recibió una llamada de la Guardia Civil de El Espinar y la Policía Local de San Rafael solicitando ayuda para rescatar a un perro que, presuntamente, había sido víctima de una brutal paliza y se encontraba gravemente herido en la estación de autobuses de San Rafael.

Voluntarios de la organización proteccionista se desplazaron inmediatamente al lugar de los hechos y hallaron a un cachorro de podenco, de unos tres meses, con graves lesiones en la cabeza y una herida terrible en uno de sus ojos. Bus, como así ha sido bautizado, fue trasladado de urgencia al Centro Veterinario El Refugio, donde se le estabilizó y se confirmaron sus graves lesiones, entre otras la pérdida del ojo derecho, un traumatismo craneoencefálico y un traumatismo en el tórax que le causó fracturas de las costillas y daño en los pulmones.

"El presunto responsable se enfrenta a un presunto delito de maltrato animal, mientras que Bus, a pesar de la pérdida del ojo, se ha recuperado totalmente y está a la espera de encontrar una familia que lo adopte", se ha felicitado Nacho Paunero, presidente de El Refugio, organización que está inmersa en más de 150 procedimientos penales, civiles y administrativos en diferentes comunidades autónomas.
