County: Jefferson

Disposition: Alleged

Alleged: Sharon M. Seeley

A Labrador retriever was found overheated, exhausted and thirsty Tuesday afternoon after being kept in a car for about an hour outside the Target store on outer Arsenal Street while its master shopped, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department.

Sharon M. Seeley, 60, of 16719 Mason Point Lane, Clayton, was charged with animal cruelty and is ordered to appear in town of Watertown Court.

The dog was "in obvious distress," deputies said.
