Authorities are responding to an alleged animal cruelty case in Wirt County.

Sheriff's Officers, West Virginia State Police, and Humane Society of Parkersburg Officers responded to a call of possible animal cruelty at an abandoned trailer on Mocking Bird Way in Spring Valley Estates Saturday afternoon.

At least six dogs were seen outside the trailer and are being removed. Authorities have executed a search warrant at this location.
