Adams, WI (US)

Incident Date: Tuesday, Feb 1, 2011
County: Jackson

Charges: Felony CTA, Felony Non-CTA
Disposition: Alleged

Alleged: Kevin Arthur Oligny

Serious charges are filed against a Jackson County man. He's accused of firing a shot inside a home that killed a dog.

Investigators say 51-year-old Kevin Oligny of Merrillan got into a fight with a man over a $20 debt at the man's home in the Town of Adams Tuesday night.

The man says Oligny returned to his home two more times that night. The last time Oligny was there, the man says Oligny fired a shot into his bedroom, which killed his dog.

He's been charged with three felonies, including animal mistreatment in the death of the dog and two counts of endangering safety by reckless use of a firearm.

At a court appearance Thursday, Oligny was jailed on a $10,000 cash bond.
