Puppy severely beaten, resulting in death Helena, MT (US)Incident Date: Saturday, Oct 3, 2009 County: Lewis and Clark
Charges: Felony CTA Disposition: Alleged
Alleged: Brandon Hill
An 18-year-old Helena-area man has been charged with felony aggravated cruelty to animals after an 8-week-old puppy was beaten so badly that it had to be euthanized.
Lewis and Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton says Brandon Hill was arrested over the weekend.
Dutton says a witness told officers that she saw a man kicking a small white dog against a car tire, and then pick the puppy up and throw it on the ground. The witness said the man then took the puppy inside a trailer, and she heard something bang against the wall followed by the puppy crying.
Dutton says Hill told officers he got mad and threw the dog against the wall because it chewed his cell-phone charger and defecated on the floor.
Hill was jailed without bond. References« MT State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Lewis and Clark County, MT
