En la mañana del martes 6 de octubre, recibimos la llamada de uno de los veterinarios de la localidad, alertándonos de que había prestado atención veterinaria a un perro que había sido agredido con uno o varios objetos cortantes. A pesar de los intentos de salvar al animal, de 14 años de edad, este murió durante las curas. El perro, de nombre Sadam, de raza pastor alemán, ni siquiera tuvo oportunidad de defenderse o huir de sus agresores al encontrarse en un recinto cerrado dentro de la parcela de su propietario, donde el animal había realizado durante toda su vida funciones de guarda. Es evidente que los desalmados aprovecharon el momento en que el perro estaba dentro de la perrera que tenía habilitada, para cortar la malla de cerramiento de la parcela, con el que parecía ser su único objetivo: ensañarse con él. Su propietario ha presentado denuncia ante la Guardia Civil de Utrera, quienes se personaron en el lugar. Queremos hacer llegar el más profundo rechazo a quienes son capaces de semejante barbarie, no pudieron ser consideramos más que como auténticos monstruos, insensibles y de una maldad temible y exagerada. No nos cabe duda de que a quienes son capaces de un acto de estas características debe serles aplicada la ley implacablemente y con mucha más dureza que actualmente. El maltrato a los animales está contemplado en el Código Penal en su artículo 337: “Los que maltrataren con ensañamiento e injustificadamente a animales domésticos causándoles la muerte o provocándoles lesiones que produzcan un grave menoscabo físico serán castigados con la pena de prisión de tres meses a un año e inhabilitación especial de uno a tres años para el ejercicio de profesión, oficio o comercio que tenga relación con los animales.” Por lo que desde la asociación instamos a la guardia civil a usar todos los medios a su alcance para localizar a los autores y que pueda serles aplicada la ley. Y al mismo tiempo, recordamos a todos los ciudadanos la importancia de denunciar cuantos casos de maltratos presencien, ya que es la única manera de combatir situaciones tan lamentables como estas. On the morning of Tuesday, October 6th, Humane Society DDVIDA received a call from one of the veterinarians in the area, alerting that it had provided veterinary care for a dog that had been assaulted with sharp weapons. Despite attempts to save the animal, aged 14, he died during the cures. The dog, named Saddam, German Shepherd, did not even had a chance to defend thimself or scape from his attackers as he was in an enclosed area. It is clear that the thugs took advantage of the time the dog was inside the kennel and cut the mesh enclosure of the plot, with what appeared to be his only goal: picking on him. The landlord reported the police ( Guardia Civil ) of Utrera, who showed at the place of the carnage. DDEVIDA would like to express its deepest rejection of this henious act and the monster/s who were able to perform it. The mistreatment of animals is covered by the Penal Code Article 337: "Those who maltreat with cruelty to domestic animals and unjustifiably killing or causing them serious injuries which cause physical impairment shall be punished with imprisonment from three months up to one year and disqualified from one to three years for the exercise of profession, trade or commerce that has a connection with . "So we urge the police to locate the authors and that may apply the law.
