Dog-fighting - six dogs seized

No one was arrested, but six dogs were taken by Animal Control after Beaumont Police responded to a call of dog fighting.

Around 1:40 p.m. Thursday, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Cartwright and found six pit bulls with scars indicating they had been dog fighting.

Two of them had fresh wounds, according to police.

All six dogs were seized by Animal Control and the owner was identified but no one was arrested or charged at this time.

The investigation into the dog fighting continues.
